Zacualpan is one of the oldest mining districts in North America with mining dating back to at least 1527. In 1531, it was the first mining district in the Americas to be given the title of 'Royal Mines' of Zacualpan by proclamation under the Spanish Crown. It is located in the Taxco Silver Region 100km southwest of Mexico City and 25km northwest of the well-known Taxco Silver Mine. Numerous veins in the district have seen historic production but statistics for the early centuries of production are sporadic. In modern times, recorded production between 1975 - 2004 was approximately 17 million ounces of silver.

MINE PRODUCTION

Production comes from four operating mines, Chivo (La Virgen Valley), San Ramon (La Virgen Valley), Guadalupe and Gallega (salvadoara) which feed a central processing plant rated at 500 tpd. In 2009, the plant is operating at around 350 tpd (2004 - 96 tpd). Gallega is located 500m from the mill and Guadalupe Mine is located within 100m of the mill.

Infrastructure
Access is by paved highway that runs through the middle of the district. Infrastructure is good throughout the district with gravel road networks, electric power, ample water supplies and an experienced Mexican work force.

Please see below for a summary of the Company's production performance.

EXPLORATION

IMPACT controls 272km2 of mineral concessions around the processing plant and has been aggressively exploring this large territory to develop mineral inventories for future production. Exploration has seen early success with the discovery of the Chivo Mine. Chivo was first drilled in 2006 and in less than two years was brought into production as the largest and highest grade silver producer in the district. The rapid conversion of discovery to profitable production is a hallmark of IMPACT's technical team at Zacualpan. Other results from IMPACT's exploration work on the project are described in news releases below.

For 2009, the exploration program remains aggressive and similar to 2008 and will be reviewed each quarter.

In 2006, the Company initiated a district wide compilation of the historical exploration and mining information on the total land package. The historical information is considerable, with maps occupying several rooms at the mine site. Although work on this GIS (Geographic Information System) database is ongoing, selected areas currently have a sufficient degree of completeness to direct modern exploration programs of prospecting, mapping, trenching, sampling, and drilling.

To date 1,274 historical workings have been located and entered into the GIS database with prospecting and researching old maps adding on average 10-15 more per week. Please see the following table:

Old mines noted as "LARGE" have over 500 meters of underground workings, "MEDIUM" have 50m to 500m of workings and "SMALL" less than 50m of workings. Sampling in some workings is limited due to access issues such as flooding or tunnel collapse, and these are listed under 'Workings With Partial Sampling'.
IMPACT has drill tested 205 (16%) of the 1,274 compiled historical workings.
