After technical review, IMPACT geologists concluded additional resources at Plomosas may be found at depth and along the trend of the recent mining areas as well as in nearby parallel prospective horizons. IMPACT has begun drilling these mine area targets.
The project has exceptional brownfields exploration upside potential with only 600m of the 6,000m carbonate replacement structure having been explored to date with known zinc prospects and historic mines along this trend. This is in addition to other exploration targets on the property including untested copper-gold targets with high-grade surface prospecting samples. Regionally, Plomosas lies in the same mineral belt as some of the largest carbonate replacement deposits in the world.
