    • Plomosas High-Grade Zinc-Silver Mine

IMPACT's 100%-owned high-grade Plomosas Project covers more than 3,000 hectares in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua, approximately 350km from Mexico’s border with Texas. Plomosas is in an area with an extensive history of development in base metal operations.

The shallow dipping (10°-40°) Plomosas mineralisation has been mined in several stages since 1943 down to approximately 270m below surface via room and pillar stopes using traditional jack leg drill and blast techniques. The mineralisation is open at depth and there is more than 6km strike of prospective stratigraphic horizon and mineral prospects on the property, providing for significant additional exploration potential and drill targeting. IMPACT is currently drilling near mine targets to define and expand resources for mining.

    Production

Previous owner (Consolidated Zinc Limited of Australia) commenced zinc production at Plomosas in September 2018 and achieved commercial production in December 2018. Mining commenced at Tres Amigos and the Level 7 Semi Oxide Resource, using room & pillar and stope mining via a ramp haulage network.  Mineral was fed to a 200 tonne per day conventional flotation mill.  IMPACT is currently refurbishing and upgrading the mill and underground mine with plans to restart production later this year followed by plans for expanding operations. Drilling has begun to define and expand resources for mining.

The project has an offtake agreement to sell all zinc concentrate produced to the Penoles’ Met-Mex Smelter in Torreon, Mexico.
